Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 1, 2026

Summary

This Privacy Policy applies to the GymLog app and website. In short: no personal information is collected unless you send an email and choose to disclose it.

What Data Is Collected?

GymLog does not collect any personal information unless you explicitly send an email.

If you send an email, the following data may be collected:

  • your email address;
  • the content of your email.

The content of the email is your responsibility. You are advised not to include personal or sensitive information unless it is necessary for your message.

Workout data that you enter into GymLog is stored locally on your device. GymLog does not send that workout data to a developer-run server.

How Email Data Is Used

Emails are used only to:

  • read and understand your message;
  • reply to your message if a response is appropriate.

Your information will be deleted upon request, or three months after the conversation becomes inactive, whichever comes first.

How Email Data Is Stored

Email communication is stored in iCloud email, protected with encryption and two-factor authentication. Email communication may also be stored locally on an encrypted device protected by strong authentication measures.

Email communication is retained only as long as necessary to read and respond to your message. If there has been no activity for three months, the email communication will be deleted.

App Data And Apple Services

GymLog uses local Core Data storage on your device. Depending on your iPhone and iCloud settings, local app data may be included in device backups managed by Apple. GymLog does not currently provide its own account system, cloud sync, or server-side storage.

During TestFlight beta testing, Apple may provide app-level beta information such as public link metrics, tester feedback, screenshots, and crash reports through App Store Connect. That information is handled through Apple's TestFlight and App Store Connect systems.

Marketing

Your personal data is not used for marketing purposes. You will not receive marketing materials unless you explicitly request them.

Your Data Protection Rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • the right to access;
  • the right to rectification;
  • the right to erasure;
  • the right to restrict processing;
  • the right to object to processing;
  • the right to data portability.

Since data processing is limited to email correspondence, you can request deletion by replying to the email conversation and asking for the conversation to stop and be deleted.

Links To External Websites

The website may contain links to external websites or services. These external websites and services are governed by their own privacy policies, and GymLog has no control over their content or privacy practices. You are encouraged to review the privacy policy of every website you visit.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is kept under regular review and any updates will be placed on this page. This Privacy Policy was last updated on July 1, 2026.
